Boar in a new light

ive had boar brushes from the pharmacy and i didnt think much of them (van der hagen or something close to.that was the name). This brush is big holds 3 passes of soap,I lost 6 hairs the first time i used it and never lost another one.. this seemed stiff at first, but I started soaking in hot water while i brush my teeth and it made it very easy to splay. the brush does tend to slop soap around if you get to jiggy with it.the brush being large can soap you're face up very fast.the handle feels good in hand..overall its now my everyday brush and has changed what i used think of boar brushes

Bought This From West Coast Shaving Through Amazon

This is my first brush besides a VDH I had bought at the PX. I'm not going to lie, when I first opened the package and started to soak it, it smelled like a piggery. I hit it with dawn, lots of hot water, more dawn, and more hot water. It took a night of soaking and dawn "shampoos", but I got the smell out. After that I used the brush as normal. It's been over eight months and this baby is like angel's fingers on your face. The lather it can produce it amazing. It's great with even soaps like Williams Mug. It loads like a beast, and when you bring it to the bowl it will produce the thickest, creamiest, slickest lather you'll ever experience. Some owners of this brush will complain that it is "floppy" and has very little backbone. It's supposed to be like that. It's a professional brush. If you need more backbone or less splay you have to pinch the fibers with your thumb and finger tips. I use this brush at least twice a week with other brushes in a rotation. It's a great brush and deserves to be in your den.

Smelled a bit funky at

Smelled a bit funky at the start and took a little while to get warmed-up. After a week works great. A little longer than I'm used to. But I'm growing to like it.

Great Boar Brush

I particularly love boar brushes. They stand the hair up on your face better for me than other brushes do. This one in particular is a lather monster and it holds that leather for three passes easily. For the price, you absolutely cannot beat this brush.
