  • Artisan shave soap from Stirling
  • Loaded with tallow, glycerin, lanolin, and more
  • Scented with a fresh, green, masculine fragrance

You're never fully dressed without. . . Stirling Soap Co. Shave Soap, Sharp Dressed Man. No matter what you are wearing, it always pairs well with a good groom. And good grooming is what Stirling is all about - natural ingredients, value, performance, and fantastic scents.

This is just one artisan soap maker that you have to try. Reviewer Derek said, "This is one of the best soaps on the market- excellent cushion, glide, post shave face feel, and scent. Few products can boast having all of these attributes. A must buy!" They get those wonderful attributes from a wonderful ingredient list. A tallow-based soap, it also contains glycerin and lanolin to provide the slickness and glide that gets rave reviews. They also have the moisturizing trifecta of almond oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. Lathers easily with a brush and bowl.

This scent exudes masculinity. Patterned after an aroma good enough for the likes of Cary Grant, Robert Redford, and Clint Eastwood, you can see why "every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man". This is a fresh green scent reminiscent of a walk through the Irish countryside. Floral top notes give way to a base of sandalwood.

This may well be Stirling's flagship scent. Make it yours as well: Stirling Soap Co. Shave Soap, Sharp Dressed Man.

Sharp Dressed Indeed

Stirling soaps are at the top of my list from a quality/price standpoint. You will be hard pressed to find a slicker, better quality soap at this price. The pucks are a harder soap, so one container will last a very long time. The amount of cushion is amazing, and easily compares with a few of my other favorites, such as I Coloniali, and Tabac Stirling soaps are very easy to lather with a wet brush. After about 30 seconds of swirling, I have enough soap loaded for a 3-pass shave. Slickness is where they really shine in my opinion. The slickness is as good as any high priced soap out there that I have tried. The scent is described as "Patterned after the famous Green Irish Tweed scent that was created for Cary Grant". I don't know about Green Irish Tweed. All I know is it's a nice scent that I can only describe as having a citrus base to it. Equally as important, the little woman likes the scent too. The scent strength is where I knock this down a point or two as it doesn't stay with you all day. I prefer a scent that lingers. With regards to cushion, Stirling is hard to beat when it comes to the quality of their soap, with cushion being a huge factor for me. The thickness of the lather is as good as anything else I've got, making your razor glide across your whiskers without the worry of any post-shave razor burn. I finish with their matching aftershave, which I'm sure will render this opinion flawed, but the post-shave feel is heavenly. My face feels soft and powdery smooth without feeling dry or soapy. Just right.

Great Purchase

I usually don't give reviews, but, upon relying so much on reviews in looking for a quality shave soap myself, I felt it my duty. I've had a terrible razor burn problem. Instead of experiment after bloody experiment with outrageously expensive pre-shave oils and blades (I use Feathers, and I don't want to go with a "duller" blade), I decided to try some natural tallow soaps with lanolin. First off the bat was Stirling Soaps. Made in USA, natural, tallow, lanolin--meeting my criteria, this stuff is slippery and very forgiving. With no other changes in my equipment, I get a smooth, non-bloody shave every time. Plato has said that "There is no accounting for taste," so this fragrance may not appeal to you. It's not the best for me, but it is mild and not revolting. Fortunately I ordered a sample pack, so I can make a different choice. All things considered, Stirling is the best soap I have ever tried and I don't feel the need to change.

Great soap. Likes more water

Great soap. Likes more water than expected, but the feel, function and scent are all top notch.

A good soap

Easy to lather; has a good cushion; and it's slick. One thing that bothered me was its initial smell. It smelled a bit like a dead animal. I tried leaving the lid open overnight and that seemed to have gotten rid of the smell. Otherwise, a good soap!
