Some men don't tolerate thinner, astringent aftershaves very well. For such men, there are options and D.R. Harris Arlington Milk Aftershave is among them. This product has a thicker consistency; more akin to a lotion. It goes on very smooth, but that's just the beginning of what it does.Men with sensitivity issues tend to have problems with rashes and burns due to shaving. This is designed to help such men. It has an antiseptic that keeps those nicks clean, but that doesn't sting like alcohol does. It also puts moisture into your skin rather than drying it out.If you're using quality shaving products, you're going to learn a lot about skin care in the process. The first thing you'll learn is that no two men have the same needs where taking care of their beard and mustache are concerned. If you have trouble tolerating regular products for tightening the skin and if that cool, refreshing feeling is more agonizing to you than anything, this might be what you need. It certainly soothes the face and it can leave you feeling, and looking, very healthy and resilient rather than red and bumpy!

The Best of Two Worlds

This is the best of an alcohol based after shave and a cream moisturizer in one. It is the only aftershave product I would recommend. I only wish that WCS also carried the Windsor fragrance in this product (big hint)!

The Best

I have used D.R. Harris Arlington Milk Aftershave for at least ten years. This purchase was two bottles because of a nice sale, which should last me 2-3 years. The older variant was thinner, which sometimes could be messy since a little goes a long way. This version is slightly thicker, but still much thinner than a lotion. The new consistency is much better, while retaining the great scent and skin soothing. Mitchell’s Wool Fat, Feather Blades, and D.R. Harris Arlington will continue as my go to shave products.

My go to aftershave

This is my fourth bottle of D.R. Harris Milk Aftershave over the last several years. Only a small amount is required on each use and it is very soothing and absorbs quickly while never feeling greasy or oily. The scent is light but distinctive and since I don't wear cologne it has become very personal to me. I doubt very much I will ever use another product as long as I can get the D.R. Harris Arlington Aftershave Milk.

Nice scent, but stronger here than in the soap

I have the Arlington soap and it's one of my go-to's, but the scent seems more strongly present in the Milk, and it's not a shy, retiring kind of scent to begin with. That said, it does lie down after a bit; just be warned that it goes on quite strong. Also, the consistency of the Milk takes some getting used to. It's decidedly thin and liquid. But it absorbs well and feels good, and a little bit goes a long way. All told, would I buy the Milk again? Maybe. But it wouldn't be my first choice, especially compared to other balms like Proraso and Castle Forbes.
