Good introductory pack
The merkur razor was a good price and the sampler pack of blades is a great way to find which blade works best for you. The company should not assume that every customer wants to be pestered with multiple emails per week just because you bought something from them
Some blades are terrible, others awesome. You get to test 5-10 of each with this package and will save you trouble of buying bad blades. These all look authentic to me but be careful when buying from other sites.
Great way to try a bunch of different blades.
I used Mach 3 turbo blades for years, but Gillette decided to change them a while back. They did not work as good as they used to. A sample pack is a good way to search for the right blade. I purchased a Merkur 34c razor and this sample pack. Finding the right soap or cream and getting it lathered properly is also a must(B&M for me). I made my way through one each of all of these blades. A lot of them were just ok. There were some surprises along the way. One in particular which people seem to love is Astra. I hated it, tried it again once I got my preferred lather dialed in and still hated it. It felt like I took a torch to my face. Most of the other highly rated blades didn't seem that great either. The Derby was decent. A blade that doesn't get good reviews is the SHARP Durablade, but it is my 2nd favorite. It might sound like I prefer mild blades, but that's not exactly the case. My number one overall is Feather. That one is something special. I didn't find it to be harsh or scary like some say it is. You have to be careful and respect all razor blades, but the Feather just shaves nicely with little drag or resistance. I will keeping SHARP and Feather in my shaving arsenal. I say go ahead and get a sample pack to help find the blades that work the best for you.
lots of choices
I haven't tried all the different razors, but it's nice to have an assortment.
Some are good, some are
Some are good, some are worse
