The soap reminds me of Le Pere Lucien at a better price. The aftershave was also a good value.
WCS hit a home run!
The jojoba formula produces a thick, rich lather effortlessly and has excellent slickness and cushion as well. So much so that it allowed the use of my Muhle 41 loaded with a Feather blade. The scent is reminiscent of a classic Faberge. A tub of WCS Jojoba Fougere has found a permanent place among my shaving supplies kept on hand.
Great soap, easy to lather smells great.
WCS Jojoba Shaving Cream, Fougere
Very nice, I had no problem making a great lather and the overall performance of the Jojoba shaving cream was excellent.
I never had a fougere scented product previous to getting this and I'm very happy with it. Scents are subjective and personal, so I don't rate soaps on that so much as performance, which is excellent for this product. Very good glide and overall protection. Creamy lather with little effort. Overall, good stuff. As for the scent, it reminds me of earthy forest scents, vaguely fern and evergreen, with some kind of spice on top. Seems strong in the container, but dilutes down in lather and rinsing. Personally, I like it. YMMV I got mine on WCS sale, so for me it was a super value. The normal price compares with Taylor of Old Bond Street, which I consider a top performer. Given the same money to buy both, I have to say I'd prefer the Taylor, but if you catch this on sale, its a better deal for the money IMHO. Marked as a 'great' value as such.
