  • Safety Razor head set
  • Economical price, Luxury design
  • Brawny, Lithe & Toothsome

West Coast Shaving is coming out with 3 new safety razor heads, each of which uses the same top cap design. Our goal was simple: To make the best budget razor head - period. The razors were designed by Charcoal Goods exclusively for WCS. Like the GEM razors of old, the top cap has a pre-defined "sweet spot" to help guide new shavers to the right angle.

The first head in the series, Lithe, is a mild/mid aggressive model - perfect for new wet shavers and those on the hunt for an easy daily driver. It fits all double edge razor blades.

Our second design, Brawny, is more efficient and boasts greater blade feel than its predecessor. Designed with tough beards in mind, this version can fish and cut bait. Well no, not can't fish.

Lastly toothsome, our open comb razor melds the efficiency of our Brawny base plate with the smoothness of our Lithe version.

WCS is all about giving you choices to hone in on the shave that is just right for you. Pair these safety razor heads with any number of handles to create your perfect grooming tool. With WCS, premium is standard.

THE GOLDILOCKS CONUNDRUM Which one is just right? First let me applaud the collaboration between WSP and Charcoal Goods. The finish and tolerrances punch way beyond their weight class with a price point almost too good to be true. The top cap has a predetermined angle due to the triangular shape similar to the alpha ecliptic although the angle here is less pronounced with some liberty for blade contact. So what's the GOLDILOCKS just right plate? The answer is all three, depending on you. If you take an aggression scale from zero to ten, ten being the most aggressive. The Lithe is the most mild with a score of 3/10. This is an excellent option for daily shavers with sensitive skin. There is almost no blade feel with some audible feedback. This however gets the job done and I was able to get a nice comfortable shave. Next is the Toothsome, the open comb plate. I would give this a score of 5/10. The combs are beautifully machined and close together so it is almost like a straight bar. Last is the aggressive plate labeled with an etched A. Its score is is a 6.5/10. There is plenty of blade feel without being intimidating. If you buy the trifecta you could probably go the rest of your life and not need another razor. What is the fun with that? Buy one, buy them all.
